Heledd founded Recruit For Spouses (RFS) in 2011 when, with a new posting, a young family and a serving partner, she recognised a need to provide supportive and agile working opportunities to a pool of talented individuals – military spouses. Since then, her aim has been to change the narrative and broaden the scope of flexible working by providing remote, flexible opportunities to return talent to the workplace. RFS has supported over 8,000 military spouses and partners into securing employment. The award-winning Career Academy provides exemplary career support, benefiting over 1200 spouses annually with dedicated employment assistance. Heledd was named as one of the top 100 Women in Social Enterprise by NATWEST Wise and is also a member of the Society of Leadership Fellows, as well as Trustee with a number of charities.
Prior to RFS, Heledd was fortunate to have worked with and ridden world class horses, and feels privileged to have worked with the New Zealand and Canadian 3 day eventing Olympic team. In her spare time, she enjoys open water swimming and coastal walks, especially back home in West Wales. Heledd is truly delighted to take part in Ride to Independence with a diverse team of military spouses; who together can overcome the most incredible challenges.
